Happy Birthday Amy

For 17 years Amy was my best friend. She was kind and caring and always there for me when I needed someone to talk to, whether it was about stress I was having about my kids or their dad was being a pain in the butt or whatever. We always had a good time together when we went out to family dinners or the mall or whatever we did. Even though she had a lot of medical issues and problems of her own she never let that get in the way of her love for us.

Today would have been her birthday. She died a year ago this past May.

I miss you my friend.

I'm so sorry to hear you've lost a cherished friend--but you're keeping her memory alive by remembering her, honoring her, and sharing how much she meant to you. I need to hear this & believe this as I'm having a similar loss now too. It's hard! Thanks for sharing.

I was very saddened by this post. Amy died way too soon. I can't imagine how I would feel if my best friend died.
I'm glad you are honouring her in this special post.

ps - and I sincerely hope you get to go on your vacation!

best,

Duni

Sorry for your loss. Several of my dearest old friends from high school years, passed way too early. I can empathize with the empty space this leaves....

Happy Birthday to your friend! I lost a very dear friend ~ it was 5 years ago on Sept. 15th ~ Her birthday is Dec. 28th and I think of her everyday and know that she is one of the "special" angels in heaven!

Ruth, I'm so sad for your loss of your friend. A loss of that magnitude is hard to get over.
I'm sure Amy is somewhere smiling down on you :) It is so nice of you to post a memorial for her.

I'm really sorry for your loss. It's very strange - my best friend's name is Amy, also. Her birthday is also in November. She has massive medical issues - and has been in the hospital for about 2 1/2 years at this point. For a split second, I thought you were referring to "my" Amy - and I almost dropped my teeth.

It's really nice you keep her alive in your memory - that is the best thing we can all hope to leave. As long as she lives on through you, she's left a lasting mark on the world. I'm sure that would make her really happy. xx

I am sorry for your loss. I have read this post many times and I thought I should leave a comment so that you know that I have read your tribute.
My dear father's birthday is also the first of November. Or was. He passed away in July of 2006. I miss him so much. Before he died, I promised him that I would to talk about him so that the children will at least know who he was. So you are so right to honor and write about your friend Amy and remember her birthday.
Thank you for sharing.
Best wishes
Anna

Happy, happy New Year, kiddo. Your sentiment gave me a giggle, also. :) I wish you nothing but the absolute best in 2010...it's going to be fantastic. I just know it. xx

Oh, how touching. It's sad to lose a friend, but this has to be very sad. I hope you have been able to find some peace with it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement on my blog. It was great to long on to find others in similar situations. It can feel lonely when you're a crafter and it's so wonderful to be a part of the online community.

This is the last Entrecard ad I'm approving until you start updating your blog more. It's pointless to keep directing people from a very active blog to a very inactive blog.
